The general objective of the study was to assess the effect of soil conservation on local community livelihood in Gindeberet woreda in the case of Gormana Erga Kebele. The research approach employed by the researchers in this study is a mixed-methods approach. The researchers selected 78 households from the total of 780 households in Goromana Erga Kebele for the sample size of the study on the effect of soil conservation on local community livelihood in Goromana Erga Kebele by using simple random sampling techniques. The major findings were Some community members actively participate in soil conservation efforts, while others may need more awareness and education about its benefits. However, some areas lack proper implementation of these practices due to resource constraints or a lack of knowledge. Soil conservation positively impacts livelihoods in several ways. The researchers finally recommended that the positive impact of soil conservation on community livelihoods underscores the need for its sustainable implementation at all levels. Ensuring local participation and empowerment remains crucial for successful soil conservation and improved livelihoods.
