Abstract
Background:Poorhygienerelatedmenstrualmanagementpracticesareaveryimportantriskfactorforreproductivetractinfections(RTI),andfemalessufferfrompoormenstrualhygiene,whichrestrictstheirmovementandselfconfidenceandendsuppoorschoolperformance.Menstrualhygieneandmanagementisanissuethatisinsufficientlyacknowledgedandhasnotreceivedadequateattention.Objective:TheobjectiveofthisstudyistoassessKAPonmenstrualhygieneamongfemalestudentsinGubretown,AbaFransuaGeneralsecondaryandpreparatoryschool,SouthernEthiopiafromJune15toJuly30,2023G.C.Method:Acrosssectionalstudydesignwasusedtoconductstudy.ASimplrandsamplingtechniquewasusedtoselectthestudyparticipants.DatawascollectedthroughastructuredquestionnaireandthecollecteddataenteredintoacomputerusingSPSSforanalysis.Ethicalapprovalwasobtainedfromtherelevantinstitutionalreviewboardbeforethestudybegins.Result:Among248respondent89.1%ofrespondentshavegoodknowledgeonmenstrualhygieneRegardingattitude71.0%respondentshavegoodattitudeonmenstrualhygieneandrespondentshavegoodpractice75.3%onmenstrualhygieneConclusion:Generallytheoverallresultofourstudyshowsthereisgood management on menstrua hygiene
