Abstract

Background:Poorhygiene-relatedmenstrualmanagementpracticesarea veryimportantri skfactorforreproducti vetractinfecti ons(RTI),andfemales sufferfrompoormenstrualhygi ene,whichrestri ctstheirmovementand selfconfidenceandendsuppoorschoolperformance.Menstrualhygieneand managementisanissuethatisinsufficientlyacknowledgedandhasnot receivedadequateattenti on. Objective:Theobjecti veofthisstudyistoassessKAPonmenstrualhygiene amongfemalestudentsinGubretown,AbaFransuaGeneralsecondaryand preparatoryschool ,SouthernEthi opiafromJune15toJuly30,2023G.C. Method:Acrosssectionalstudydesignwasusedtoconductstudy.ASimple random samplingtechniquewasusedtoselectthestudyparticipants.Data wascollectedthroughastructuredquestionnaireandthecollecteddata enteredintoacomputerusingSPSSforanalysis.Ethicalapprovalwas obtainedfromtherelevanti nstituti onalreviewboardbeforethestudybegi ns. Result:Among248respondent89.1%ofrespondentshavegoodknowledge onmenstrualhygieneRegardingattitude71.0% respondentshavegood atti tudeonmenstrualhygieneandrespondentshavegoodpractice75.3%on menstrualhygiene Conclusion:General lytheoverallresultofourstudyshowsthereisgood managementonmenstrualhygiene
