Abstract
The primary object of this study was to explore the causal link of rural-urban migration of youth and economic development in Woliso town.following to primary object the study was focused on economic condition of migrants, factors migration and the linkage of job opportunity and migration. To achieve this objective both qualitative and quantitative approach were employed in the study primary data was youths migrants to the Woliso town.The total 50 of respondents were selected for questioner and among those 5 respondents wereselected for both questioner's and interview purposively. Social affairs department was also used as key informants. Purposive sampling method special snow ball sampling method was used to contact each respondents from each occupational categories. Descriptive study and cross-sectional design was employed in this study to analysis both qualitative and quantitative approach as well as to compare the validity and reliability of the both approach. The study indicated that rural out migration is dominated by unmarried young male, high school level of education. The study also revealed that lack of job opportunity in rural area, poverty, unemployment, family pressure, shortage of agriculture land were the key push factors and high income, better life and social network were the key pull factor
