Abstract
This study assessed the management and utilization of the Accounting Information System (AIS) within the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Gubre Branch. The research employed a descriptive research design, utilizing primary data sources. The primary data was collected through structured questionnaires and personal interviews with the bank's employees, including the Operational Manager. The study focuses on the Gubre Branch of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, exploring the role of the AIS in supporting the bank's financial management practices, the factors influencing its use and adoption, the challenges and barriers faced in its management, and the opportunities for improvement. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on the management and utilization of Accounting Information Systems within the banking sector, while also providing practical insights to the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Gubre Branch, to enhance the effectiveness of its AIS.
