Abstract
This study conducted to assess the loan recovery performance in commercial bank of Ethiopian Wolkite main branch. Assessment of loan recovery help an organization accomplish its objectives by bringing systematic principles to evaluate and improve the efficiencies control of cash management, recovery performance, risk management control and governance process. The general objective of the study will try to assessing the loan recovery performance in commercial bank of Ethiopia in Wolkite main branch. The assessment focus on strengthen and weakens with regard to loan recovery performance. Data that are relevant to this study collected from both primary and secondary data sources. The primary data were collected through questioner and the secondary sources are collected from research works, books, and internet and organization manuals. In order to select the sample purposive sampling was employed. There search designs are descriptive. The total number of the population working in the commercial bank of Ethiopia in wolkite main branch are 26 from which samples for my study where drawn. Among this population, the researchers will take 10 as a sample size. The gathered data are analyzed and interpreted by using a descriptive research design, which describes in detail after data, was collected. The finding of my study concludes that training is one of the important requirements for the success of lending institutions. They develop skill on how to do business and money utilizations and banks are not lent without any collateral to ensure the full commitment of the borrower.
