dc.description.abstractLand degradation has its effect on social, economic and political life of the population. Land degradation is the major challenges to agricultural development and food security of the country. This study was undertaken in Lokka Abaya woreda in case of Kura kebele. In order to achieve the objective of the study related with assessment of Indigenous land rehabilitation practice, both primary and secondary data were generated by employing qualitative and quantative data. Simple random sampling technique was used to select the targeted population, 83 household heads were selected from the kebele. The process of analysis of the study was carried out using qualitative description and quantitative analysis. The quantitative data was analyzed using frequency, percentage and mean when appropriate. The qualitative data was collected through interview and questionnaire. From the finding of Researchers concluded that awareness creation and continuous training, resettlement program. creating opportunities for alternative means of livelihood and promoting NGOs effort to involve in indigenous land rehabilitation practices could solve the problem facing land rehabilitation practices in the study areaen_US
