dc.description.abstractThe main objective of this study is assessing the role of yejoka indigenous conflict resolution mechanism in case of cheha woreda. Unless conflict is managed properly, it results in political, social and economic destruction of human beings. The cost of conflict depends on the type of conflict resolution system that individuals used to settle disagreements. This study was employed both primary and secondary data, in this study the researchers were employed only non probability sampling technique. The tool of which this study was employed is interview, and observation. The major finding of this study is according to the responses of the key informant interview, yejoka kitcha have a great role in resolving marital and land dispute. In resolving marital dispute, it follows rule and procedure for example (yankitkitcha) this method of marital dispute resolution bound the women not to marry other men before the dissolution made by her or wife. According to yankitkitcha in the time of marital dispute the dispute is arised with the fault of men the women administer the property. If the fault is on women her family will be called and punished near her family by ordering her not to commit further wrongen_US
