WOMENS PARTICIPATION IN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION: THE CASE OF CHEHA WOREDA

Abstract

The main purpose of this research paper was to assess women’s participation in agricultural Production in the SNNPR, Gurage zone,cheha woreda. The interviews and questionnaires were used as tools of data collection to collect relevant information about women’s participation in agricultural Production. In the study area; socio-cultural factors and, other contributing factors that affect rural women's less participation in agricultural production. The findings of this study may also help women to have enough knowledge about the factors that hinder women’s participation in agricultural production. In order to improve their participation government should have to give the credit, Fertilizer provision, improved seeds provision for the rural women to increase their participation in the agricultural production.
