Abstract

The research was conducted to assess employees’ compensation practices in Wolkite University Academic Staff. The researcher used descriptive type of research design. This research focused on identifying and clarifying employees’ compensation practices in Wolkite University Academic Staff. To conduct the study the researcher used primary and secondary source of data, with questionnaires. The study adapted stratified random sampling to collect full information from measurable employees’ i.e. lecturers Of Wolkite University. The Study took 266 lecturers from the total of 802. The researcher used descriptive analysis method with the help of table and percentage to analyze the data collected and to provide possible conclusion and recommendations. Both quantitative and qualitative method of data obtained through questionnaire are analyzed and interpreted. Accordingly both financial and nonfinancial compensation exists in the organization. Employees were more motivated by financial compensation.
