dc.description.abstractThis research was conducted in Awash Bank on Wolkite branch and the interface between management information system and decision making in financial institutions. The main objective of this study was to assess the role that management information system plays in managerial decision making in banking service. For the purpose of this study primary data was collects through questionnaire and interview and secondary data would be collected from, books, and documents of the organization. The researcher was also used cense method because the number of awash Bank employee only 16. The collected data is processed and organized in descriptive manner and organized using table with relevant discussion. At the end of this study the researcher would prove the main problem in the use of information system in the Bank and the Bank attitude towards the role of MIS. Most of these problems would be caused by Delay in processing, Inconsistency, Often redundancy and Delay communication. Finally, as the researcher would see from the finding, the Bank should keep sufficiently used MIS because of its significant role in decision making process by providing the necessary informationen_US
