dc.description.abstractThe new curriculum that is applied in Ethiopia is the concern of this research. This research is conducted to study and investigate the major cause, consequence, and prevention of stress among remedial students toward their academic performance. The scope of this study result will be generalized to wolkite university remedial students only. The data were analyzed by using descriptive design both qualitative and quantitative approach in order to achieve objectives of this study. 95 respondents were selected through systematic random sampling method the collected data frequency and percentage are employ to analyze the collected data. This research found that remedial students; 34.7% excessive worry about the examination, 31.6% they have a stress because of not knowing how to prepare for exam,28.4% they have stressed because of the instructors making too many demands. This stress induces remedial students through feeling of irritation, difficulty on remembering, difficulty on problem solving, lack of concentration. This research forward recommendation to Instructors makes the teaching learning methods suitable for remedial student. For Wolkite University to create the campus service access (like library) better to the remedial student. To the campus guidance and counseling office to strength its service and spread its access to the student and to give special attention to remedial student. This recommendation concern is because to alleviate stress and make students to increase academicals performanceen_US
