Abstract

The study was conducted on the impact of large children size on family life, the case of Awan kebele, Cheha woreda, Gurage zone, SNNP regional state. The approach of research method applied to the study was both qualitative and quantitative approach; the objective of the study was to investigate the impact of large children on family life and the discussion point the study incorporates were family economic condition, general living standard, healthy behavior and their social life under the large number of children. The purpose of the study was as a source of in information for those who are interested to conduct a research on a problem related to this study. Sample was selected by judgmental sampling method and researchers were selected 50 samples purposively from target population. Data was collected through direct interview and questionnaire. Source of data was obtained from first-hand person and published materials. The method of data analysis used in the study was statistical tabulation and frequency table. The finding of the study was large children have an impact on family health, economic life condition and family social relation. The major conclusion of the study was from the result obtained the study imply that large number of children have an adverse impact on family economic life hood by increasing consumption, family wellbeing ,healthy life style and family social life's. And finally the recommendation of the study was to overcome the problem of producing large number of children, it is the responsibility of different stockholders and the responsibility of all citizen of the country to reduce the extreme problem and build a good economic and healthy family
