Abstract

The study aimed to see the farmers ‘perception and acceptance of modern fertilizer in Geta woreda in the case of Sabola kebele. The general objective of the study was to examine the farmers ‘perception and acceptance of modern fertilizer. To conduct this study, the researcher was used cross sectional study design by considering the limited time given for this study. In order to achieve the objective of this research primary data collected from focus, group discussion, questionnaire and key informant interview. The secondary source of data was gathering from different written materials like books and internet source. In addition both probability and non-sampling technique was employed and 41 of respondents were selected from the total Kebele farmers. The gathered data was analyzed quantitatively by using different statistical tools and qualitatively by interpreted used table and explained by used appropriate statements. The study containing Introduction or Back grounds of the study, Review literature, methodology, data analysis and interpretation. Finally on the bases of the finding of the study the appropriate conclusions and recommendations for further action were forward for the perception and acceptance of modern fertilizer among farmers.the finding of the study were stat that the perception of modern fertilizer in study area were low this low perception leads to low acceptance of modern fertilizer.
