Integrated WKU meeting,digital notice and inter-office communication

Abstract

This project is a web-based meeting, digital notice and inter-office communication system designed for WKU. The application will be portable on all devices that have a browser that supports HTML5 and having a webcam camera. The system provides a user-friendly GUI to make it easy and efficient for the users of the system. In this system, we have used data gathering methodology like an interview, observation, document analysis, and questionnaires to know the real problems. Technologies used for the new system are HTML, CSS and bootstrap framework as front-end and JSP, MYSQL on Apache server. The system uses a three-tier architectural pattern. In this system, the system admin can register all the system users except visitors who can only view and search public notice. The registered staff can hierarchically perform their tasks. Such as, they can hold and attend the meeting, prepare and post the notice, prepare and send a letter from one office to another. In general, the system is developed to integrates three different modules (i.e. meeting, digital notice, and inter-office communication) and provide a realistic solution to the problems or just communication system.
