dc.description.abstractProfitability is one of the most debatable topics within bank sector. The main objective of this study was to identify the determinants of profitability of private commercial banks. To answer the objective of the study, explanatory type study will use & the data covered the period from 2008-2017 for the sample of six Ethiopian private banks and will use secondary data. The study consider the impact of five variables: liquidity, bank size, capital adequacy, deposit growth, and Return on equity by using explanatory analysis.
