Abstract
This study examines the risk management practices of nice insurance in wolkite, ethiopia. nice insurance, the first privately owned insurance company in post-1994 ethiopia, operates through a network of branches, including one in wolkite. the company faces challenges in risk assessment due to outdated methodologies, limited access to accurate local data, and insufficient staff training. this study aims to identify the types of risks nice insurance faces, the challenges in implementing effective risk management strategies, and the impact of these practices on the company’s performance and sustainability in wolkite. findings indicate a need for nice insurance to improve its risk modeling, enhance community engagement, and adopt digital solutions to better serve the local population and ensure long-term sustainability
