Online Postal Information Manageme

Abstract

Postal system is the process used by organization to send and receive an item from source to destination. In the existing postal system managing the information is manual based. Postal system is very record-intensive. The tasks involved are generally tedious, repetitive, and complex. The existing system has a problem of loss of data, poor organized and unsecured data, wastage of resources and work load on employers. Although an item is delivered by means of transportation, managing of the whole information should be computerized. So, we will develop the automated system which will remove the problem of the existing system.The general objective of the project is to develop web-based Postal Information Management System. To achieve this objective we have used different methodologies such as data collection, system design and analysis and system testing methodology. Our project work made use of data collected from the WKU University post office as well as Wolkite town post office to effectively achieve the aims of this project. This will be developed in PHP, Xampp Server and MYSQL DBMS as back-end technology and HTML, CSS, and JAVASCRIPT as front-end technology and all of the data need for the application is stored in the form of tables
