IMPACTS OF USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA ON STUDENT’S SOCIAL LIFE; THE CASE OF WOLKITE UNIVERSTY, COMPUTING AND INFORMATICS COLLEGE

Abstract

The study emphasized on the impact of use of social media on student social life in wolkite University. Objective this research was done to access on theimpact of social media. Significance; this study is help full for other initial other related studies and also can give some hint about the condition of students at university, this study has some crucial answers to how and why students visit in a variety of Social Media,; the study design was basically used was both qualitative and quantitative methods of analyses through description methods of analyses, through qualitative methods of analyses used explanation ways of analysis as well as through quantitative ways analyses also questioner and 87 respondent were used. The researcher findings reveal that communicating through using social medial especially have a negative effect on face to face communication by minimizing the time for spending by face to face communication, the other finding is that since the respondents start social media their communication skills are improved and also the need to communicate with new peoples as the triggering favor starting to use social media.
