Abstract

This research is to assess the role of leadership on organizational performance in case of Ethio telecom of wolkite branch. The study would use both primary and secondary source of data. Primary data was collected both open ended and close ended questionnaires from the employees of the organization and interview which are arranged and structured in a logical sequence. Whereas secondary data source are gather the organizational documents and internet. The researcher would use descriptive research design and to conduct this research paper the researcher would use census survey because of small number of employees .The collected data was processed, analyzed and interpreted by using table and percentage. Based on the finding poor communication between leaders and their followers, leaders not willingness to accepts feedback, leader not willing to support their employees when they face problems and the organization no method to improve employees’ performance were the major problems that affect role of leadership on organizational performance. Finally the researcher recommend that the organization preferable to follow participatory leadership style, different training for employees on the organization and leaders preferable to support, closely monitor employees and request feedback about their performance.
