the Roles of Political Decentralization for the Development of Grass Root Community in Wolkite town.

Abstract

The central aim of this study is to identify the role of political decentralization for the development of grass root community and explains the major challenges and level of political decentralization in Wolkite town.To do so, the researcher followed mixed research method. To conduct in this study the researcher uses relevant sampling techniques. The total sampling of the investigation has 15 sample size from the study area based on purpesive techuniqe from non probablyity sampling techuniqe. Based on the data gathered from the respondents the level of political decentralization in Wolkite town is low due to lack of good leadership capacity, low level of grass root political participation and low level of competition. In order to develop primary and secondary source of data collection.So minimize or reduce such kind of problems creating the division of labor among Wolkite town sector administration on the bases of their personal skill and work experience in order to enhance its effectiveness’ and promote grass root community and political participation system in Wolkite Town administration
