Abstract

The purpose of this study would be to find out how principals’ leadership practice affects teachers’ job performance in primary school. The main objective of this study would to investigate the effect of principals’ leadership practice on teacher job performance in case of selected public primary school in Wolkite town administration. To accomplish this purpose, the study would be carried in a selected primary school of Wolkite town administration. A total of 125 individual would have participated in the study; among them 50 teachers were included as a sample through simple random sampling technique especially lottery method. Additionally, 1 school principals and 2 vice-principals would be included through available sampling technique. Questionnaire and semi-structured interview would be the main instruments of data collection. This study would be uses simple random sampling and comprehensive sampling to collect quantitative and qualitative data by using both primary and secondary sources. The data was gathered by using interview from the school principal vice-principal and questionnaire from teachers. The data were presented, analyzed and interpreted by using descriptive statistical method and also presented by using table and percentage. Finally based on the finding and analysis conclusion should be draw and recommendation would be made
