Abstract
This study would be focused on the impact of effective accounting information system on
decision making of Ethiopia commercial banks in Wolkite town. Although few studies were
conducted on accounting information system, the aim of this study is to close the gap in
literature and add some more knowledge in this area. The research design would be employed
explanatory research design in order to analyses the cause and effect relationship between
effective accounting information system (system quality, information quality, system usage,
simplicity of use, reliability and flexibility ) and decision making. The study would be used
primary sources of data in order to gather the required information. And would be collected
through structured interview and questionnaire distribution to managers and employees (66
respondents) purposively. Then the data would be processed, analyzed and interpreted by using
descriptive and inferential statistics through STATA14 version. The findings further indicate
that, there exists linear and positive significant ranging from substantial to strong relationship
was found between working place factor and dependent variable. Moreover, the selected
independent variables may insignificantly explain the variations in the dependent variable at
0.05level of significance. Based on findings, recommendations to the banks and suggestions for
other researchers are forwarded.
