Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine employee job satisfaction at Wolkite University Specialized Hospital. The total employee population was 411, with a sample size of 49. The researcher employed a stratified random sampling design to ensure representation across different departments, utilizing a sampling technique that involved the selection of employees from various shifts. Primary data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire, which was meticulously prepared and distributed to respondents to gather comprehensive insights. To support the data obtained, both primary (questionnaire) and secondary sources (recorded documents, books, manuals from the hospital, and online resources) were utilized, providing a robust framework for analysis. Data analysis was conducted using simple descriptive statistics, such as percentages and tables, to assess the relevance of various job factors to employee job satisfaction. The major findings of this study suggest that employee job satisfaction is significantly influenced by several key factors, including career development opportunities, compensation packages, employee benefits, and the overall work environment. These insights are crucial for developing strategies to enhance job satisfaction and improve employee retention at the hospital. Finally the collective data was analyzed, interpreting and presented using percentage and tabular forms, then finding, conclusion and recommendation was made for this study.
