In this project analysis of wind characteristics, monthly and annually average wind speed and wind energy potential at a catchment area of Zebidar Mountain were addressed. An annually and daily mean value of wind speed data is taken from metrology. The wind speed is always fluctuating, and thus the energy content of the wind is always changing. This variation of wind speed depends on the weather, local surface condition and obstacles. Thus the monthly mean wind speed ranges from 6 km/hr to 12 km/hr. The Power densities and the power at the area range from 11 W/m2to 87.3 W/m2 and 3 Kw to 23Kw respectively, depend on the value of mean wind speed distribution.en_US
