dc.description.abstractThough bigamous marriage is an offense punishable by the criminal code, most bigamous marriages were revealed before the court of law not as the dispute over their bigamous nature button the division of common property after the dissolution of Bigamous spouses. All family codes in the federal democratic republic of Ethiopia Enacted to regulate monogamous marriage. In the absence of specific legal provisions that govern bigamous marriage, convention, family law principles, contract law Principles and judicial decisions were used as regulatory options for dissolution of Bigamous marriage.
