    RESEARCH ON: MAJOR FACTORS THAT AFFECT IN ATHLETE PERFORMANCE IN ANIZIRE ATHLETICS PROJECT IN MUHIR AKILILWOREDA

    he purpose of the study to investigate some factors affecting the performance of Anizire Athletics project. Data was collected through questionnaire, interview and observation checklist. 19 respondents participated as the source of data, 16 athletes, 1 coach, 2 woreda sport officers were participated in the study, and the data collected were organized, analysed, tabulated and interpreted quantitative and qualitative form. As for major finding of the study concerned, significant majority of the respondents stated their view that there is a problem of preparing training plan. There is a problem of job integration among sport leaders, the availably of equipment and facilities were not adequate and shortage of incentives for coaches and athletes. The finding indicated that joining one team without performance evaluation affects the training negatively, training were not given periodically to coaches to upgrade the knowledge and skill the woreda sport leader are not jointly, a great constraint of facilities , on the bases of the finding of the study recommendation were drawn, coaches should develop and learn how to prepare training place
