    Assessment of Socio-economic Impact of Urbanization on Resident in the Case of Wolkite Town, Idget Be

    The research proposal was conduct aiming at identifying socio-economic ef ects of urban expansion in Wolkite town in the case of Idget ber area. And there are societal and economic ef ects for this prevalence due to dif erent reason. The main objective of the study was the socio- economic impacts of urbanization on residents in the study area. To achieve this objective the researcher selected 50 respondents by using multi-stage cluster sampling and purposively selected the respondents and of icial of municipal administrative. Open-ended and close-ended questioners are distributed and semi-structured interviews are conducted as main data collection instrument for the study. The data obtained from the respondents were analyzed through quantitative and qualitative methods. Findings of this study indicate that the socio economic impacts of urbanization on resident were health problem, unemployment and under employment
