    ASSESSING THE ROLE OF OMO MICRO FINANCE INSTITUTION FOR SOCIO ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN IN WOIKITE TOWN,SNNP REGION

    This study aims to assess the role of micro finance for socio-economic empowerment of women in wolikte town the case of wolkite Credit and Saving Share Company. The sppcific objective of our study was To exmine the role of microfinance for social empowerment and saving habit of women, microfinance services in improving women’s income the study area, impact of microfinance on raising women’s participation in the society. To achieve the research objectives both quantitative and qualitative data was collected and analyzed. Quantitative data was collected through structured questionnaire from 48 respondents selected randomly among women customers of wolkite Credit and Saving Share Company in case of in wolkite city administration. The descriptive statistics was employed to analyze the quantitative data and in-depth-interview was conducted to analysis the qualitative data by using content analysis method. Finally the researcher was preparing conclusion and recommendation by using percentage and tabulation
