Not only that the study contains the definition of ethics and anti corruption department. The Qualitative and quantitative research methodology was used in the study for its appropriateness to assess the the challenges of ethics and anti-corruption department in combating corruption in wolkite town.in study area and data was collected thorough use of open ended and close ended questionnaire, key in formants for questionnaire study is municipal staff and other ordinary civil servants. The result obtained from the study suggests that challenges of ethics and anti-corruption department in combating corruption in wolkite town.in general level to specific level in the country. The most common challenge of ethics and anti-corruption department in combating corruption in wolkite towns is the lack of awareness. The finding of the study show that the high tendency of challenges of ethics and anti-corruption department in combating corruption in wolkite town
