    ASSESSMENT OF DRUG ADDICTION AND ITS ASSOCIATED FACTOR AMONG YOUTHS IN WOLKITE TOWN: IN CASE OF GUBRE SUB CITY

    The aim of this research was to identify assessment of drug addiction in the case of gubre sub city. We used primary data for this study which was collected by distributing questionnaire for 79 peoples (2011E.C).The sampling method used under this study was simple random sampling (SRS).The method of data analysis used under this study was descriptive and inferential statistics. From the result of descriptive statistics frequency table. we conclude that the assessment drug addiction of the respondent shows us (57%) are addicted and (43%) are not addicted, as well as from the result of inferential statistics, chi-square test of independence and binary logistic regression we conclude that age, education level, occupation, and religion had (0.037,0.006,0.004 and 0.025) significance value respectively are mainly assessment of drug addiction. We recommend to youth to limit using drug, giving more attention for illiterate people regarding to creating awareness about effect of addiction.
