    Structural Design of B+G+5 Mixed-Use Building in Addis Ababa

    that graduates will be able to design the knowledge and understanding gained from these project as required to undertake real world design projects.A final year course at Wolkite university of Civil Engineering, thesis that design different types of building. It will develop various fundamental courses such as reinforcement concrete, structural design and foundation engineering to name a few. This project is a structural design of a B+G+5 mixed use building. The proposed building is located in Addis Ababa city. This report mainly focuses on the project of a B+G+5 mixed use (such shop, cafeteria and residential on this project) design to be this building safe and economical. On this project the analysis and designing set ups on chapter, each chapters will contains objective, general introduction, design procedures, code provisions or requirements and design solution. Design of the project will be well interpreted in this document able to perform design of roof, design of slab, design of frame structure and design of foundation on its own chapter. The design philosophy adopt for the project will the limit state design for all aspects or parts of the structure according to Ethiopian Building Code of Standards in European Norms (ES EN).Finally this document has discussion and conclusion by the person who did this project, also reference and appendix
