    ASSESSMENT OF ACCOUNTING SYSTEM ON ETHIOPIAN ELECTRIC POWER CORPORATION (A CASE STUDY AT HOSANNA BRANCH)

    This study aims to assess the accounting system in Ethiopian electric power corporation in the case of Hosanna branch by studying the financial recording and reporting of accounting systems in the organization. Although few studies were conducted on accounting system the aim of this study is to close the gap in literature and add some more knowledge in this area. The research design is descriptive type. This paper used primary sources of data in order to gather the required information. Primary data were collected through questionnaire distribution to employees. These collected data were processed, analyzed and interpreted by using tables, percentage; recommendation and conclusion were forwarded based on the identified problem. The major problems there is skill gap on the use of accounting system between different levels of management, problems of confusion between the employees and delay in message. To overcome the identified problem a constructive recommendation made Ethiopian electric power corporation in the Hosanna branch should check the information spreading process in the organization in order to minimize the skill gap, provide training and technical support to the employees.
