    FACTORS THAT AFFECT STUDENT’S ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION GEDEBANO SECONDARY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL

    The study was conducting by having an objective of assessing the factors that affect student’s academic achievement in physical education in the area of the study. It was conducted in Gurage zone, Gedebano Gutazer Wellene weredaGedebano general secondary and preparatory viischool. In order to conduct this study and reach at a good finding, the researcher took 25 grade 9th’s students who had different background by using purposive sampling technique because they were the only respondents who could able to give further information about the study. The researcher collected the data by using observations, questionnaires’ and interviews. After all , the current researcher come up with major findings such as regarding factors that affect student’s academic achievement in physical education in the area, the finding of this study indicates that the given school didn’t have enough teaching aids , unavailability of good atmosphere which help students to participate in different sport club, lack of interest regarding physical education subject on behalf of students, insufficiency of time that given for teaching and learning of physical education , unable to get parents support , and lack of sufficient books in library at the given school were factors that affect student’s academic achievement in physical education in the area.
