    Assessment of Factors Affecting the Growth of Micro and Small Scale Enterprises (in case of Wolkite town, Menaheriya, and selamber kebele)

    This research aim to asses factors affecting the Growth of micro and small enterprise in Wolkite town in Menaheriya and Selamber kebele. The General objective of the study was to investigate the factors affecting the growth of micro and small-scale enterprises in Wolkite town in Menaheriya and Selamber kebele and to provide some valuable recommendations based on the results of the study. The study was a descriptive type of research design, and the research methodology used in conducting the study was the quantitative approach. To achieve the objective of the study, both primary and secondary source of data was used in the study. To determine sample size, I have used a stage sampling technique, these was a proportional stratified sampling technique and a simple random sampling technique. 60 questionnaires were distributed to respondents to collect data, and the collected data was presented, analyzed, and interpreted by using tables, frequency, and percentage. The main finding I have got in conducting the study was as follows; majority of respondent engage in the business due to lack of employment alternatives, majority of respondent start the business by their saving, there is no enough support from support providing institutions to micro and small enterprises, there is no favorable business location, there is high level of competition between micro and small enterprises, there is shortage of finance, there is marketing and operational factors facing micro and small enterprises. Finally, based on the findings the researchers reached on conclusions and provided some valuable recommendation based on the finding
