Item STAKE OF RURAL WOMEN IN REALIZATION OF HOUSEHOLD FOOD SECURITY: IN CASE OF CHEHA WOREDA GURAGE ZONE SNNPR, ETHIOPIA(Wolkite University, 2019-06) SAMUEL FITAMO; ZERIHUN DEMOZE; BIRTUKAN WORKINEH; ADANE MELESThis study was conducted in Cheha Woreda Gurage zone, Ethiopia. The major objective of the study was to assess the stake of rural women in realization of household food security in Cheha Woreda Gurage zone, Ethiopia. This study employed the mixed research approach which means both qualitative and quantitative research approach. And also in this study the researchers used descriptive research design and the data collection tools like sample survey and key informant interview with both primary and secondary data as well as non-probability sampling such aspurposive and probability sampling technique like simple random sampling has been used to select the kebele and respondents respectively. Finding of this study shows that, rural women stake to household food security was significant. This rural women significant contribution for household food security was being done through engaging in agricultural and non-agricultural activities and through obtaining some financial support from government financial institutions to sustain their house hold livelihood. Finally the researcher concludes and recommend what understood from the study is the community as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations should have to give recognition for the rural women and to see them as great household food guarantors
