THE EFFECT OF ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE ON EMPLOYEES’ COMMITMENT; IN THE CASE OF WOLKITE UNIVERSITY
    (WOLKITE UNIVERSITY, 2025-08) ABUBEKER NURU
This study investigates the effect of organizational culture on employee commitment at Wolkite University, focusing on three colleges: the College of Business and Economics, the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the School of Law. Using both primary data (questionnaires distributed to 68 employees) and secondary data (university records and literature), the study employed descriptive analysis to assess key cultural dimensions such as adaptability, mission clarity, and employee engagement. The findings reveal a generally positive organizational culture, with the majority of respondents agreeing that open communication, teamwork, and recognition are present, and that they feel a strong sense of belonging and commitment to remain with the university. However, a notable portion of neutral and disagreeing responses highlights areas for improvement in communication clarity and consistent recognition practices. These insights suggest that while the existing culture supports employee commitment, targeted efforts to enhance inclusiveness and internal communication could further strengthen organizational alignment
