A descriptive survey design was used, involving 30 participants:18 female teachers, 10 male teachers selected through simple random sampling, and 1school principals selected possessively. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews andanalyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods.Based on the results of the basic surveyquestions, 67% of respondents indicated that household responsibilities are a major barrierpreventing women from assuming leadership roles. The findings also revealed that cultural attitudes limiting women's involvement in public af airs remain a significant obstacle. Furthermore, low levels of education and economic dif iculties were commonly citedascontributing factors to the under representation of women in leadership positions.The studyrecommends that the Woreda Education Of ice focus on building women's capacity throughtraining and promoting them to leadership roles like principals and department heads. It alsoemphasizes the need for more equitable sharing of household responsibilities to enhancewomen's leadership opportunities.
